Alira Shiratori was born Alira Dorthal on a cool August night to a humble woman of the Mol Tribe in Mol Iloh of the Azim Steppe. Due to her father being apart of the Dorthal tribe her surname was changed to Shiratori as a final request from her mother who passed away not long after Alira was born. Her father was a casualty before her birth in a battle between the Dorthal and the Oronir which left the newborn xaela an orphan once her mother died. As a result she was raised among the Mol Tribe and learned their peaceful ways and customs like honoring the elder gods which however does not include Azim or Nhaama who are also known as the Dawn Father and Dusk Mother. Combined with both bloodlines of the Mol and the Dorthal she grew to become a fierce warrior of the Steppes catching the eye of Hydaelyn for recruitment to become the next Warrior of Light. Reaching her adult years and newly awakened to her role of this warrior Alira left the Steppes to fulfill her purpose now becoming a traveler all over Eorzea and bringing light to this land the best she can.
